AAAA record

A DNS record that maps a domain name to an IPv6 address.

An AAAA record does what an A record does, but for IPv6 addresses — the newer IP address format.

Practical example

If the server is reachable over IPv6, the AAAA record points to an address like 2606:2800:220:1:248:1893:25c8:1946.
